Bell schedules aren’t one-size-fits-all—neither are conference breaks

Configure Conference Breaks the Way Your Building Actually Runs

Bell schedules are not uniform. A middle school that runs on a rotating block doesn't share the same natural break points as an elementary school with a single lunch period. Forcing every conference into a break structure designed for a generic schedule means someone is always setting up tables during a time that doesn't work.

Break configuration in PTC Wizard now supports staggered downtime—distinct break windows for different teachers or groups within the same event. Administrators set the breaks that match how their building actually operates, rather than adapting their operations to fit the software's assumptions.

The directory picker for selecting which staff a break applies to also received an update that handles real-world roster messiness more gracefully. Partial name matches, duplicate entries from a recent sync, and staff with roles that span multiple departments are all resolved more predictably during break assignment.
